D&D Campaigns

Campaigns organize your D&D sessions and give each campaign its own channel for transcriptions.

Create a campaign

  1. Run /discmeet campaigns
  2. Select Create New Campaign
  3. Enter a campaign name (letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores; max 100 characters)
  4. Enter a description (max 1000 characters)

The bot creates a Discord channel for the campaign. You need Manage Channels permission for this.

Campaign channel

Each campaign has a dedicated channel. D&D session transcriptions for that campaign are posted there as threads or forum posts.

Important: Do not delete the campaign channel. If you do, you’ll need to edit the campaign and set a new channel before starting sessions. If the channel is missing, you’ll see:

The channel for Campaign Name no longer exists in this server. Please edit the campaign using /discmeet campaigns to set a new channel before starting a session.

Edit a campaign

Run /discmeet campaigns and select the campaign to edit. You can change:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Channel (if the original was deleted or you want to move transcriptions elsewhere)

Plan limits

Your plan limits how many campaigns you can create. Check /discmeet status for:

  • Campaigns Created vs Campaign Limit

If you hit the limit:

You have reached your campaign limit or your plan does not support campaign creation. Upgrade your plan to create more campaigns!

Use discmeet.com/dashboard  to change your plan or limits.

To bulk import characters or clean up large rosters from the browser, see D&D Characters.

From the same dashboard  D&D area you can add locations and items with names that help transcripts pick up your world’s vocabulary—especially when you mark them Active for the campaign you are playing.
