Multi-Channel Setup
This guide covers enabling multi-channel recording and configuring notes destinations.
Enable multi-channel (Pro+)
Multi-channel is included with Pro+ and Studio. There is no add-on to purchase — you just install the assistant bots.
- Open the dashboard and sign in with Discord if prompted.
- Select your server and open Plan. If you’re not yet on Pro+ or Studio, upgrade there first.
- Under Upgrade & add-ons, find Multi-channel and click Install assistant for each channel you want to record at the same time.
Install one assistant per simultaneous channel. You only need as many as you actually run at once, and you can add more later at any time.
Add all assistant bots
For multi-channel to work, the assistant bots you rely on must be members of your server. If one isn’t, you’ll see:
The assistant bot is not a member of this server. Please add all assistant bots to your server to use multi-channel transcription.
Use the Install assistant links on the dashboard, or contact support for the correct invite URLs.
Notes destinations
By default, all transcriptions go to the channel you set in /discmeet setup. To send transcriptions from specific voice channels to different text/forum channels:
- Open the dashboard
- Find Notes destinations in your server settings
- Add a mapping: choose the voice or stage channel, then the text or forum channel where transcriptions should go
Transcriptions from that voice channel will now post to the mapped channel instead of the default.
Use cases
- Meeting Room A →
#meeting-notes-a - Meeting Room B →
#meeting-notes-b - RPG Voice →
#dnd-transcripts(or use campaign channels for RPG)
Note: RPG sessions use the campaign channel, not notes destinations. See RPG Sessions.
Need more simultaneous channels?
If you run more channels at once than there are assistant bots available to install, contact support at https://discord.com/invite/PpqKZrd26b .
