Quick reference for common DiscMeet errors and how to fix them.

No active transcription found	Nothing to stop	Only when stopping with no session; run join → start first
Bot already active in another channel	Single-channel limit	Wait or add multi-channel addon via `/discmeet upgrade`
All bots busy	Multi-channel at capacity	Wait or `/discmeet stop` in active channel
Insufficient credits (D&D)	Plan limits	`/discmeet upgrade`
Campaign channel not found	Channel deleted	Edit campaign with `/discmeet campaigns`, set new channel
Custom Prompts Not Available	Addon required	`/discmeet upgrade`
Permission required	Not admin/owner/role	Need Manage Channels or meeting access role
Transcription couldn’t be posted (permissions)	Bot missing channel permissions	Fix permissions, then `/discmeet retry`

You need Manage Channels permission or be the server owner

Applies to: setup, join, start, stop, campaigns, characters, upgrade, manage, status
Fix: Get Manage Channels permission, or add your role to meeting access roles in /discmeet setup

Bot missing required permissions

Fix: Server Settings → Integrations → Bots & Apps → find DiscMeet → grant permissions. Or re-invite from discmeet.com

Transcription couldn’t be posted (permissions or channel)

If the transcript was processed but posting failed, fix the permissions or set a valid channel with /discmeet setup, then run /discmeet retry to resend the notes.

Transcription channel not set or no longer exists

Bot not in voice channel

Insufficient hours or plan limitations

Cannot start D&D session. Insufficient credits

Campaign channel not found
