D&D Items
Items are the notable objects in your story—magic weapons, relics, potions, maps, or anything players say often enough that you want the wording to stay consistent in transcripts.
You manage items in the dashboard under D&D → Items (not in Discord slash commands).
What you add
For each item you can set:
- Name — What you want to see in notes (for example, Moonthread Blade).
- Description — Optional notes for yourself (what it does, who found it).
- Campaign — Tie it to one campaign, or keep it server-wide for reuse.
- Active — See Active names below.
Active names
Turn Active on for items that are in play for a campaign. DiscMeet pays extra attention to those names when transcribing, which helps unusual or invented words land correctly. Turn Active off for loot you are not focusing on anymore—you can switch it back when the story picks it up again.
Only items that are linked to the campaign you are playing and marked Active count for that session’s story.
Search and filters
Search by name, and filter to active only or inactive only when you want a shorter list.
Add, edit, and remove
- Add — Open Items, fill in the form, then save.
- Edit — Update name, description, campaign, or Active from the row actions.
- Delete — Remove one item, or select several and bulk delete.
Bulk import
Upload a CSV or Excel file to add many items at once. Pick Import into a campaign when everything belongs to the same adventure, or leave campaign empty for shared gear.
Use columns name, description, and active. For active, yes/no, true/false, 1/0, or blank (blank means “on”) all work. Each file can have up to 250 rows.
