D&D Sessions

D&D sessions are recorded separately from regular meetings. Transcripts go to the campaign channel, not the default transcription channel.

Start a D&D session

  1. Be in a voice channel
  2. Use the D&D Session button (or the equivalent flow from the bot)
  3. Select the campaign for this session
  4. Enter a session name
  5. Start recording

The session is recorded and transcribed. When you stop, the transcript is posted to the campaign’s channel.

Credits required

D&D sessions use credits from your plan. If you don’t have enough:

Cannot start D&D session. Insufficient credits. Use /discmeet upgrade

Check your plan and credits with /discmeet status under D&D Features:

  • Can Start Session — Whether you have credits
  • Total Sessions / Session Limit — Usage limits

Campaign channel must exist

Before starting a session, ensure the campaign has a valid channel. If the channel was deleted:

The channel for Campaign Name no longer exists. Please edit the campaign using /discmeet campaigns to set a new channel before starting a session.

Processing time

After you stop, the transcript is processed and posted. Processing can take up to a few minutes. You’ll get a notification when it’s ready.
