Transcription vocabulary

Speech recognition gets everyday words right, but can stumble on names, product names and jargon. Transcription vocabulary is a list of those words, so DiscMeet writes them correctly in your transcripts and notes.

Add your vocabulary

1. Open the dashboard  and select your server.
2. Go to Settings → Transcription.
3. Under Vocabulary, list your words separated by commas, for example Acme Corp, Project Chimera, Dr. Nguyen, and save.

You can add up to 4,000 characters.

How it’s used

• The list is passed to the speech model, so it expects those words when it hears them.
• DiscMeet also fixes close mishearings of them in the finished transcript.
• It only shapes how words are spelled, not the style of the transcript.

Suggestions

DiscMeet notices names that come up again and again but aren’t on your list, and suggests them in the dashboard so you can add them in one tap. Now and then it also mentions them under your notes in Discord, with a link to the list.

Meetings only

Vocabulary applies to regular meetings. RPG sessions use your campaign’s roster instead, such as its characters.
